As a runner I always particularly enjoy treating other runners, especially prior to a big race where it's a great privilege to be part of the build up and to help my clients get to the start line in the best possible shape. Today I had a third session with a lady running the London Marathon in a few weeks time. She had been struggling with knee pain and had been doubting whether she'd even be able to run the marathon. We've done lots of work on glutes and hip flexors, and it was fantastic to see her again today, having run 16 miles at the weekend without pain. This makes me so happy! My other running client of the day is preparing for an incredibly gruelling 6 day mountain ultra; after all the hard work training and preparing for such a big event, it really is an honour to be part of the tapering process, helping him to recover fully from all the training miles and be raring to go on the start line!
